Freezing my Brain Juice
*warning: long post ahead*
The weather has suddenly taken a cold turn. It has been freezing since yesterday, and since my cold little body has decided its had enough, and im heading over to target to buy myself a nice warm toasty heater for the room in a sec. =)
I haven't managed to blog much due to my crazy schedule. ive had 3 exams while simultaneously juggling 2 major essays on media politics as well as a public campaign persuasion and propaganda analysis. oh yes, thanx angela, for dropping by and dropping a lil note. =) its always a pleasure when u do. =)
Its been tough, but the Lord has carried me through. It has been so hard to cope, but the Lord has been so faithful. For 2 of my exams, He blessed me with almost full marks for them, and I was so shocked! Because especially for one of the papers, it was so tough even though i studied and while doing the paper, and after it was done, i was worried that i would fail, i even counted the number of marks i needed for each question in order to pass. And when my lecturer returned the grades and told me i topped the class, i knew it was all God's blessing. up till now i have no idea how i scored the grade. Before i studied and took the papers, i surrendered everything into His hands, and told God that i'll do my best, and surrender everything else into His, and my Faithful Saviour never did let me down. =)
On a different note, i've been a very naughty girl. Being stuck at home, besides studying, i havebeen guilty of shopping. e-shopping =) ive bought a few things recently, and i can wait for them to arrive soon! I love brown paper packages in the mail! =) the postman must be pretty tired of me and my housemate. =)
Oh yes, i received my moisturiser in the mail today, from dd. Thank You Loads d! =) i thought i told u not to send it. =) and with the moisturiser, came a note: "D, I'm not going to send u any more stuff... return me $7.05 when u come back. HaHa" Love: D.
Trust him to send me a joke with the mail =) any other guy would have said something romantic and mushy, but d? never fails to make me laugh. =) thanx d, for sending me the moisturiser even though i told u not to, cause of the hefty postage. =)
looks like ive gotta rush, hopefully i've have some time to put up some pictures later. =) in the mean time, its out in the freezing rainy cold weather, in my quest for a heater, armed with my green blazer. =)

Silly Billy
I am such a silly girl. Just thinking about having to conquer my essays, and tests make me down and blue. I wonder why i let these silly mundane things, that on hindsight, are actually such fleeting issues bother me, and get me down. As i said, im a silly silly girl.
I had a very eventful day today, and i realised something about me. In order for me to concerntrate on something serious the whole day, such as an essay, i have to wake up, mentally brace myself, and pounce into my work (though most of the time i inch into it, as i get distracted by pretty shiny things like ebay) for the whole day. i cannot head out, have fun, and then come back and work, because by then i am either too tired, or i just do not have the motivation to start on it.
Anyhoo, back to today. I headed out to meet my childhood friend Luke today at the nearby shopping mall. we haven't met for approximately 5 mths plus, as he had to return to japan to finish his overseas stint, and i returned to singapore. The first thing that went wrong, he turned up a little late, (p.s. i hate guys who turn up late), afterwhich it was alright, we caught up and chatted, but after approximately an hour plus, his two oz friends called him and said that they were done shopping for a gift for their mutual friend, and they were coming over to join us! -_-
It was terribly awkward after that, and one of his friends kind of irritated me, when he questioned my heritage. When i told him i was Eurasian Chinese, he immediately asked me to explain how exactly i was "mixed". -_-. and after that it all went downhill, the awkward pauses, at a table of 3 guys chomping onion filled tuna subway sandwiches, while i sat there helplessly wishing i was anywhere but there.
I did damage control, and got my housemate to call me on the pretext of coming to meet me at my place and took my leave.
As i left, i realised Luke didn't pass me the gift he brought back for me from japan, which was the reason we met today. Anyhoo, i was glad to be heading back, and if i wasn't having a bad enough day, at the busstop, this china student tried to chat me up. -_- SOS. throughout the whole bus ride home, he was trying to tell me how rich he was blah blah blah. the bus ride was horrendous. After what seemed like eternity, i reached home, i hopped off the bus faster then a jack rabbit.
The first thing i did was to settle down in my comfy chair with a huge cup of double choc chip icecream. =) and then it was to the kitchen, where i defrosted prawns and cooked garlic butter
prawns with herbs. Perfect.
oh yes, i managed to win an abercrombie eliza tote on ebay just now, =) yay. i hope its as pretty as the pictures.
and in the meantime, i guess its back to the essay, and to missing the bf.

In a Mushroom State
J spent the night at my place yesterday, we ebayed, chat, and did our readings for tomorrow before we conked out. It was nice, driving back from sch with her for the first time. It took only about 15 minutes to reach my place! Today we woke up and went shopping at Carousel. I didn't have the mood at all at first, because thinking of all the work i had to do put a huge damper on my spirit.
But we did get a few things, pretty camisoles and a skirt. pictures below. pretty?
Well, after that she drove me back, and after refilling myself with some mocha, i began the work. Before i knew it, it was nearly 7.30, so i cooked a quick meal, butter mushrooms with egg and rice, and caught american idol.
And here i am, procrastinating on my blog, before heading off to do some marketing readings for tomorrow's classes.
I pray tomorrow goes well. Im sure i'll feel much better tomorrow, with it being the last sch day for me. Till then, its smile, and rushing into the readings head on. =)

I went grocery shopping today, and on the way to coles, i got sidetracked, and it was a good thing i did, cause buss was having an accessories sale, and i grabbed myself 2 intricately designed bracelets and a butterfly necklace, which im gonna transform into a brooch for my cardigan =) so happy cause the bracelets are in my sizE! and i never ever find any bracelets to fit me, due to my miniscule wrists =)

Girls' Day Out
I make it a point to go out every friday. This is because i do not have classes on friday, and because perth's public transport system isnt very efficient, i don't usually head out on sats and sundays. furthermore, mondays are usually spent at home, catching up on the readings and work for the week ahead. Therefore, if i do not head out on friday, my weekend is exceptionally long.
So technically, Friday's my day off.
Today was likewise. i sent out shopping with j and met up with a few of her friends later. The first half of the day was pretty good, despite the fact that i had to rush out of the house like a mad hatter on overdrive AND in heels, to catch the bus to the city, as i had overslept.
Did some shopping, shall upload the pics after this post, which made my day. Later headed on to meet j's friends and we went to supre, but i found nothing i liked there. and basically hung around until the others finished their shopping. We drove back to the city, where after walking around for a bit, i headed home first, as i did not want j's friend to feel obligated to drive me home. i do not like the feeling of troubling anyone, and im pretty much independent, and it was only until i reached the busstop, that i realised that for the whole of today, besides having a coke float, i did not have any food.
No wonder my tummy seemed to be eatting itself. It was a good thing i had the float, because that sustained me for quite a while. I don't know why, but food in perth (eatting out) does not appeal to me because the portions are HUGE, and i can never finish anything. Furthermore, the costs are exorbitant. approximately $10 for a plate. And the food at the city, hmm... not so good.
Anyhoo, i headed home, and upon reaching home realised that i should get my lightbulb changed, so i lugged the huge ladder outta the storeroom, and made the switch. Its still not bright enough for my liking though. And afterthat i had my dinner (and my first meal of the day), at last.
Now, my tummy is protesting in little twinges of pain. bleah.
Well, i should probably head to my readings now, since ive spent the day out.
In the meantime, its reading and coffee time.
(pardon the incoherent ramblings, i think my tired brain is on a sugar overdrive). =)
